7 Bridges Scooter Club Ride

I was invited to join Jacksonville's Scooter Club for their weekly ride.  A lovely man named Bill found my blog about my trip and knew I was in the area, and asked me if I'd join them when they came up to southern Georgia.  I said, um, YES.  So they picked me up off the causeway at St. Simons, and we rode up the coast for a while.  It was cold, everyone agreed, but sunny and beautiful.  We looped back to St. Simons and ate at Southern Soul for lunch.  It was such a fun day.  Everyone was so kind, and asked me tons of questions about myself and my trip.  One hilarious guy said, "you drove across the country?  On that?  By YOURSELF?"  Then he shook his head and as he walked way, mumbled, "will wonders never cease".  I laughed out loud.  I was definitely the youngest one in the group, by a good 20 years, probably.  Which made it that much more special.  They invited me to go with them on a Gulf ride, 300 miles south of Jacksonville to the Gulf of Mexico, which I can't wait to do.  It will be a breeze, mileage-wise.
