All Is Calm, All is Bright

The rain is on the roof, and Amos Lee is singing to me.
A candle is burning, and I am sewing.
I am pretty near perfectly happy.

I'm feeling blue.

I'm working on a Saturday.

It's raining.

And cold.

And June.

Where is the justice? The whole world is warmer than Santa Cruz.

On the upside, my lovely dentist said after my checkup, 'you have beautiful teeth'. I wanted to hug her. Not one cleaning in 6 years, and I still have beautiful teeth. She says it is partly to do with growing up in the Midwest - it was cheap in the 50s to add systems that would put fluoride into the water. Out here, people don't want anything added that isn't natural...so they all have bad teeth. Bummer. BUT, I mostly attribute my good teeth to Sonicare. Thank you, amazing toothbrush.

I had an unplanned stop at this beautiful rose garden in San Jose on my way to the airport.

It was amazing.

Unplanned stops are the greatest.

This is a view I'll see a lot this summer, I have a feeling.

By the way, these are Keen boots that I got on super sale at REI and I really, really love them.

First long-ish trip, to San Jose. Somewhere close to two hours.

Miss Betty rode like a dream.

Only my parents will laugh at this...
