Lets Be a Team, Shall We?

www.vespa-vagabond.blogspot.com
New post - which may or may not interest you but was in response to yours truly.

Also, first call for help!

I'm wondering if you know a friend of a friend who might have a couch (or comfy carpet, I'd even settle for that). Specifically, in these places or along this basic route. I'm pretty fluid at this point so just give me what you've got and I'll be getting creative with my itinerary.

1. Lake Havasu City (or around there, central western AZ)
2. Middle of nowhere, border of AZ and NM.
3. Albuquerque, NM
4. Santa Fe, NM
5. Amarillo, TX
6. Oklahoma City, OK
7. Tulsa, OK
8. Pittsburg, KS - anyone know anyone in that small, podunk town? Anyone? Maybe I'll just go straight through without stopping. Hm.

Again, this is just the basic route so I can be flexible and go where there's lodging.

Here's the map of the first leg. Crazy.

And by the way, a huge thanks to you Carol! I can't believe how generous you are, I was blown away. Thank you. At 60-70 mpg, that will get me pretty far, which is pretty great. THANK YOU!

The State PoPo's will cature at the border of OK/KS and drag you home.

PS - have you contacted Uncle Chris? And if you have holes in your schedule for housing, we can try to fill them in via the Army network. Even though you might not know them personally, one officer's home is like another's. And I would host another OK if asked, without hesitation.

can i help with couch surfing? or is that a road you would rather not take?

BTW - you mention that you are stopping in Tulsa - that's just 2 hours from home.

yep, I'd totally couch surf Ade, but I'm trying to see if I can stay with friends of friends first. I'm not opposed to it, however.
