The End is Near...
And I spend most of each week with teenage girls, trying to love them well and be a blessing to them for the short five weeks they're here at Redwood Glen. (by the way, photos to come). They have made my last weeks in California the best I could ever have even dreamed.
So needless to say, I'm asking God to calm my heart and help me get everything done in the right time and the right way. I am ready to be on the road, and to be able to relax into the rhythm of my trip.
Things to Do:
- Route planning, lets hope tomorrow!
- Look into buying a hammock tent which may be the greatest invention ever.
- Buy some basic maintenance equipment, like the fix-a-flat goo.
- Get AAA towing :)
- Get my Vespa back from the dealer where they're taking their SWEET time fixing it.
- Pack the clothes I'll use on the trip.
- Figure out what shipping company I'll use and schedule my pickup.
- GIVE MORE MORE MORE TO THE THRIFT STORE!
- Drink lots of calming tea.
And that, friends, is just the beginning. Love you all and hope to see some of you this summer!

How Far I've Fallen
I haven't taken a shower or changed my clothes in three days (I'm sure you can't tell from the photo), I've just packed and cleaned and walked around my house in a bit of an overwhelmed daze. Now it's T minus 3 hours til I have to be back at camp and there's still so much to do. To top it off, the Vespa dealership keeps sending me away with a pat on the back proclaiming 'there's nothing wrong with your Vespa!' only to have it die the next time I stop for gas. Turns out the fuel pump in tons of these bikes was just recalled and I am waiting for them to tow my Vespa yet again. At least I am vindicated.

Bon Voyage
Goodbye, Futon. You weren't really very comfortable, and you did slouch way too much, and roll when you weren't supposed to. But, we did spend a lot of time together, you and I. So thanks for the good times. Have fun with the college students.
Moving is here!
My brother and I are locked in a lease until August 16, but things have fallen into place and miracle of all miracles, they’re ready to let us out of our lease on the 16th of June if we’re able! I am beyond overwhelmed about getting out of here so soon, because after the 10th I am working summer staff at camp, which means being at camp close to 24/7 overseeing a group of 14-15 yr olds. But I am grateful that God answered prayer so quickly and resoundingly in this situation. He will be faithful, this is what I say quietly to myself as I walk, and sit, and think, and pray…I need his help and I believe he will give it to me.So bring on the boxes!
